Facilities Architect and Interior Designer, Senior-01116394DescriptionKey Role:Coordinate and oversee the completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities-related projects worldwide. Manage the project design or construction effort, evaluate contractor performance, and provide official weekly project status reports. Assemble a high performance, integrated team of all stakeholders, manage communications, and establish expectations throughout the project. Assist the Contracting Officer and COTR with acquisition planning, execution, and administration. Collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop sole source justification, if appropriate. Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change requests. Review and approve shop drawings and submittals, conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits, and prepare Contractor Performance Report (CPR) upon contract closeout. This position is located in McLean, VA.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:-10+ years of experience with facilities at the full performance level-5+ years of experience as an SME at the senior level in design and space planning of commercial or governmental interior or construction projects-Experience with performance in a variety of interior renovation projects-Experience with gathering and defining design requirements and preparing alternative solutions ranging from conceptual design to final design within established parameters-Experience with creating design and construction documents; generating presentation graphics; preparing cost and schedule estimates; and collecting, preparing, and reporting programmatic information-Knowledge of at least two of the following: systems furniture and specifications; Building codes and ADA requirements; Informational technology; mechanical, electrical, and communications systems; AutoCAD or Microsoft Office Suite and Project software packages-Ability to work nights and weekends, as required, for operational necessities-Ability to travel domestically or overseas for the government, as required-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph-BA or BS degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or Interior DesignAdditional Qualifications:-Experience with coordinating design activities with architecture, engineering, safety, security, construction, and other related functional areas-Experience with managing and monitoring architecture and engineering (A&E) firms and construction phases and handling contract close out-Experience with working in a classified environment-Experience in handling multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results-Ability to be highly motivated to continue to develop professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on-the-job experience-Ability to work independently and in team situations-National Council of Architectural Review Boards (NCARG) architect license, National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification, or EIT preferredClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.Integrating the full range of consulting capabilities, Booz Allen is the one firm that helps clients solve their toughest problems, working by their side to help them achieve their missions.
